Barrow County Chamber of Commerce
ANNUAL REPORT
You are essential to the community. Show them how.

Project Overview
The Barrow County Chamber of Commerce team puts in the work to be present during critical moments in the community. Over the years, they have proven to be a valuable and necessary voice at the table. While they are busy doing the real work, we worked on shedding light on their incredible impact.
Phase Two: Narrow the Focus
The team chose a combination of the first and third approach. They were especially drawn to the “Ideas” cover in the first vision board. They liked the vibrance of the third option, but they did not want to come across too playful. I accepted my challenge of creating a professional report with the electric personality of this thriving Chamber.
Phase One: Establish the Vision
We talked through three different directions with the BCCOC team, allowing us to narrow the focus and create within new boundaries.
Phase Three: Find the Edge
I decided to start with cover concepts. The more I learned about the Chamber and the Barrow County community, the more details I wanted to include. I also decided to incorporate a texture to represent our anchor word for the project: Emerging.
The shapes, symbols, colors, and textures all work together to show a collaborative, vibrant community - posing the Chamber as an essential support system.
Phase Four: Play
The team wanted to incorporate their internal and external efforts to become an integral part of the community. We also wanted to unpack the cover as soon as the reader turned the page. It may be beautiful to look at, but does it really represent anything local? Yes, absolutely.
I knew my designs needed to strike the balance of this close-knit, but exponentially growing community. The citizens are concerned about the integrity of their home even as they celebrate its expansion.
I love sitting in these kinds of tensions, and expressing them through thoughtful art.
Let that goal guide you as you review the rest of the report:
