Books For Keeps
IMPACT REPORT
Communicating your impact begins with good storytelling.
Done in partnership with C. Toney Communications
Project Overview
The Books for Keeps team expressed a need to communicate their wide range of programming and impact in the community – in a fun, easy-to-understand book.
Phase One: Establish the Vision
We talked through three different directions with the BFK team, allowing us to narrow the focus and create within new boundaries.
Phase Two: Narrow the Focus
The team chose the Classic Push approach! This vibe includes their actual brand colors with additional jewel tones to add boldness to their current look.
Phase Three: Find the Edge
At this point in the process, I ask myself, “How is this project different from the rest?” I want this report to be fresh, zazzy, and stand out from previous/similar projects.
Phase Four: Play
The Books For Keeps team let’s me play. I wanted to introduce some nonsense to this serious report with an unserious texture – felt. For me, felt was an impactful storytelling tool in my childhood. I have fond memories of crafting stories on a felt board. How might I bring this texture into this project?
